Details At 10 p.m. PT on Friday, January 26th 2007, we will be upgrading our email systems to the latest Zimbra 4.5 GA release. The upgrade will take approximately 30 minutes. During this time, your ability to access email will be interrupted though no incoming emails will be rejected.

Dear SonomaEmail Customers:

SonomaIT Zimbra Collaboration Suite Upgrade

At 10 p.m. PT on Friday, January 26th 2007, we will be upgrading our email systems to the latest Zimbra 4.5 GA release. The upgrade will take approximately 30 minutes. During this time, your ability to access email will be interrupted though no incoming emails will be rejected.

This is a major version upgrade with many enhancements and bug fixes. We learned a few things from the last upgrade that we would like share with you to ease in the migration.

Note: These only apply AFTER the migration.

1) If you experience issues with the web mail client after the migration:
Please remember to clear your cache: stored files, cookies and history of previously accessed pages as this can affect the disply of the email system. If you are unsure of how to clear these items, please refer to your browsers "help" section for more information about how to perform these simple operations. You may also want to close your browser and open a new browser after completing these steps.

2) If you use the Outlook connector, please upgrade immediately by downloading the new connector at:

http://a.mail.sonomait.com/downloads/index.html

3) If you use the Apple iSync connecter, please upgrade immediately by downloading the new connector at:

http://a.mail.sonomait.com/downloads/index.html

What's New in Zimbra Collaboration Suite 4.5

Many significant new features have been added to ZCS 4.5. Here are some of the major feature enhancements:

* Support for Tasks in Microsoft Outlook

* Aggregate external POP email accounts

* Use Mail Identities to automatically choose different signatures or 'from' addresses

* Create personalized distribution lists from your own contacts

* Ability to specify higher security requirements on end-user passwords

* Domain administrators can now set mailbox quotas

* Read email in basic HTML mode

* Zimbra Mobile now supports "push" email to devices

* Delegate email and calendar access in Microsoft Outlook
